To connect people with the Estuary’s diverse landscapes, FOPE, in collaboration with the Seagull Foundation, with assistance from the Jost Foundation and the Pagweak Foundation, has developed and continues to maintain the Pugwash Estuary Peace Trail System. These scenic trails, cared for by dedicated volunteers in partnership with Nature Conservancy Canada, Canada Salt, and The Seagull Foundation, offer various levels of difficulty and highlight the estuary’s rich biodiversity.
Along the trails, visitors will find walking bridges, benches, and picnic tables, providing comfortable spots to rest, observe wildlife, and take in the estuary’s natural beauty. These features enhance the experience, making the trails welcoming for hikers, birdwatchers, and those looking to connect with nature at a slower pace.
Explore the trails and share your experiences on AllTrails.
